Poetry: Far away

by Gerald Drueppel

Created on: April 14, 2009

Cruising the Continuum

My ship, a mere vessel of aspirations
admirably responds to the helms control
and finally touches down upon
a perfect world

Though try as I might words could not capture
the awe inspiring beauty taking place around us
and so suspecting better chances elsewhere
I left the confines of my star-chaser
and made a subtle inquiry among the sentient life forms
One rough translation later I achieved my goal
and that was this:

All worlds reflect what we hold dear
abundant life free from fear
perpetual inspiration
No more shame or degradation
Countless wonders by all means
with no-one , Absolutely No-one
Living someone else's dreams
