You asked me for a date and
yes, was my reply.
I asked you how to dress,
you said,
your bikini and your smile.
I was smitten by your charm
and your playful boyish ways,
then we set out for the beach
to enjoy our first date.
We chose a place in the sand
to relax in our beach chairs
and as the girls walked by,
you never noticed they were there.
You were polite and attentive
for every need I expressed,
we laughed and talked for hours
until the sun was ready to set.
We walked down the beach
before we left that night.
You took my hand in yours
and I knewyou were Mr. Right.

I want to gather colorful seashells,
hold them
