Poetry: Expressions of love

Unapologetic stare, glare, cleverly cloak, sheathe, hide. The gates are locked.

Behold! A marvelous feat of engineering this bastion that stops even the most persistent visitors at its solid doors and steely gates.

Cloaked, smothered underneath, pushed into the dungeon of this meticulously crafted facade of the ambitious, the brash, the driven, is a sensuousness, a wanting, a quest for solace from the interminably long days that melt into dark, death-fully driven nights.

An interminable quest for an equal, a partner, a fiery friend who is also driven.

Driven. Driven to love and to lick and to lavish in the secreted creamy caramel, cleverly hidden in a shrouded chamber.

Concealed by the ominous, steely exterior you have been driven to create.

This edifice, you have with your own hands built steel pin by steel bolt.

So driven to build an impenetrable fortress.

Just as day turns to night unnoticed in your world, so too unnoticed the caramel seeps beneath the chamber's padlocked doors. So too the spirited spirit you are afraid to disappoint has pressed against the cool facade of the bastion unnoticed.

Unnoticed she melts into the walls, gliding, navigating through chinks in the bastion's steel structure unnoticed.

The walls of the bastion tremble shiver and shake as the spirited spirit of THE ONE dips her finger into the creamy caramel in your once sealed and secreted chamber.

As she licks and lavishes in the taste of the creamy caramel concoction, the bastion's foundation shudders.

No more unnoticed is she as your days melt into nights.
