Poetry: Dreams & hope

by Gerald Drueppel

Created on: April 14, 2009

Flight of the Undeniable

Though burdened with the weight
of a thousand dreams I took to the air
and rose from the depths of servitude
I sung out to the Heavens announcing
my latest arrivals
"Gifts I bring gifts
These are the last who dare to dream
they want to know of the nature of reality
they want to remember the promise"
A divine voice answers

"The infinitely small and the infinitely large
are one in the same
each sound contains every sound
each vision is all
and within each name, every name"

And the promise...

"If even only one of us
yearns to give
learns to trust
then the tide will turn
as it surely must
so do not desist
do not despair
Hope is Alive
It's Everywhere
It's in my heart
It's in your eyes
For there is no truth
The soul denies"
