"A Spark in Inky Blackness"
A sweet caress, I do attest
Can soften any blow
An escape, but for a moment,
From a highway lined with woe
If someone shares the worst of times,
In darkness, far and wide,
A gentle touch is all it takes
To stem the coming tide
For often, little victories,
When it seems that all is done,
Are a spark in inky blackness,
And life's battles can be won
So, this token of affection
In a time of utmost sorrow
Reminds me that there's much to do,
And I'll live to fight tomorrow.
