Poetry: Redecorating

by Zorlone

Created on: April 14, 2009

I

Fickle minded, unsatisfied

are your hands so flighty and meandering.

My stuff - astray, my dignity - shanghaied,

because of your redecorating.

II

The bed had more attention,

than the nights you spent with me.

You never listen to my opinion,

I try to please you submissively.

III

I am jealous of the walls,

that you redecorate so eagerly.

I fear what may befall,

to the promises in our matrimony.

IV

The house is so perfect,

unlike you and I.

Can we sit down and reflect,

our love, eye to eye?
