Fickle minded, unsatisfied
are your hands so flighty and meandering.
My stuff - astray, my dignity - shanghaied,
because of your redecorating.
II
The bed had more attention,
than the nights you spent with me.
You never listen to my opinion,
I try to please you submissively.
III
I am jealous of the walls,
that you redecorate so eagerly.
I fear what may befall,
to the promises in our matrimony.
IV
The house is so perfect,
unlike you and I.
Can we sit down and reflect,
our love, eye to eye?

Slightly Off
Compulsively obsessive,
I make sure my dust is clean.
Twice a day I'm quite aggressive,
counter tops think I am
I am covered in drywall mud
Paint has freckled my face,
Somebody stop me!
From redecorating my place.
This mess I've created,
Is
Today's the day to clear away the past
to start afresh with paintwork that will last
to sweep away sad memories that shelter
Decorating the empty nest.
While wiping down the baseboard paint, a thought occured to me,
Of a little girl in bright red
