Weight Watchers has developed the new Momentum Plan, and I have decided to try it. I have over the years, tried everything from Jenny Craig, to Nutrisystems, to Diet Workshop and even a previous Weight Watchers program. Seeing as I am still looking to lose weight, nothing I have tried so far has worked for very long.
I decided to try the new Weight Watchers Momentum Program. Weight Watchers seemed like the most feasible to me because I can eat my own food, which in the long run, is what I need to do. I still plan on eating some of the Weight Watcher snacks and desserts, because that is where I run into the most trouble.
The New Momentum Program, which I am trying online, is actually the combination of the former Core and Points programs that Weight Watchers has used in the past. They say that they have taken the best part of both programs and combined them into the Momentum Plan.
This program still relies on the points system, but also stresses that the way to lose weight is to take in fewer calories than you burn off. There are no limited carbohydrates, or proteins. When following this program, you select foods on their list and you add up your daily points. You are also (based on your starting weight) given an extra allotment for the week, to take into account, birthdays and holidays, etc.
For me, joining Weight Watchers online is very convenient, and you have everything you need at your fingertips. There are Filling Food groups that are high in water, protein and fiber, that help to keep you satisfied between meals.
There is even a section where you can keep track of your daily water, milks, fruits and vegetables, healthy oils and daily exercise (I walk and play tennis). You are also able to put your daily menu either online or on paper if you wish. I find keeping tract this way, the only way to have any idea how much you are taking in. Hopefully, once you do this for several months, it will become second nature to you. There is also a place to tract your weight and weight loss progress. You are asked to enter you beginning weight and what day of the week you are starting the program. You then can watch your progress as you enter your weekly weight.
The Weight Watchers site also has recipes you can use and if you have the calories, fat and fiber content of what you are eating, you can add your food to the list online, if it isn't already there. So far in 1 weeks I have lost 4 pounds, not bad considering I ate some of my birthday cake and a regular Easter dinner.
I hope to lose 40 pounds, but I am taking it a little at a time. This plan seems to be best suited to me because you don't have to give up anything, and a little exercise seems to help a lot. Hopefully, this time, I will not only take the weight off, I will keep it off.
