Dressed in silk and satin,
with gowns and suits to boot.
These lords and ladies were dancing,
to the rhythm of the youth.

Eyes walked towards the center,
following the trail of his and her majesty.
Splendid, fantastic, and oh, the glimmer,
their presence is an artful tapestry.

"Daddy, do you like watching me play?"
my daughter asked while looking at me.
Her conceding voice and hopeful eyes say,
"look at me dad as I play with my Barbies."

"Of course my dear, there is nothing I'd wish for,
than to see you play with your dollies"
she said, "no dad!" her words now soared,
"can't you see I'm with lords and ladies?"

I humbly admitted, then I noticed a tune playing,
a waltz from the ipod in the corner.
"May I have this dance my princess, my darling?"
She stood up and danced with her father.
