Finding old friends has never been easier than in the computer age. Chance meetings and the phone book were once the only ways to find those friendships from the past. You got busy and lost touch, that is normal. There is a much easier way of catching up and keeping in touch with those people now.

It should be said that it isn't always a good thing to find old friends. People change over the years, but not always. If you are planning on catching up with an old friend that was toxic relationship, that is better left in the past.

There are a number of ways to catch up with old friends. Finding them is the first step. You no longer have to hope that you run into old friends when you are out and about.

Here are some ways to find people from your past:

MySpace.com

Myspace is a site that is free to it's members. This is also the highest chance you will have of finding old friends. There are people of all ages who are members. It will be surprising to you when you find people you never thought would use a computer.

Once you have found your old friends, there are many ways in which to communicate. Catching up can be done whenever you have the opportunity. You can exchange emails either within the site or give each other your home email address. You are also free to exchange phone n umbers, pictures (both old and new) and even videos. Talking about old times has never been easier. Finding out what old friends have been up to is a breeze in this site.

Reunion.com (now Mylife.com)

This site requires an upgrade to have any sort of real communication with those old friends. It can be well worth the money spent depending on how much you truly want to contact that person. You can share your basic information and some pictures on this site. However, you are not allowed to exchange email addresses or any other contact information unless you upgrade. It is advisable that you use one of the many free sites to find old friends before you spend your money.

Once you have paid the subscription fee, you are free to contact anyone at anytime. However, unless they also have a subscription, they will not be able to read what you sent to them. There are forums available for free that you can post information on. However, again, you cannot post contact information. It will be deleted before it is published.

Classmate.com

This site allows you to catch up with old friends as well. It is much like Reunion.com in that you have to have a membership in order to share personal contact information
