Poetry: Being overwhelmed

by Zorlone

Created on: April 14, 2009

I
I knew I was different,

seeing things in the light.

The stream upon me nascent,

shun primordial senses delight.

II

The miracles are easier to see

With these God given eyes

I see the truth too readily,

others see them in disguise.

III

So, I entered the world of religion,

this promise I made to Him.

Tomorrow the kindly deacon,

My ordination he'll limn.

IV

I kneel to pray so fervently,

cause I still am overwhelmed.

By the grace God has given me,

I'll serve in this mundane realm.
