Family and what it means

Family is a niche for developing close and intimate relationships with our family members. It is a warm place by the fire and it so much resembles like home. In our family, we are surrounded by care and love for free and without any expectations of return. Family is a unique and special place for showing our unconditional love to our family members, doing small kindnesses for each other, and sharing our intimate lives with each other.

Your family will accept you for who you are and provide you with much needed relief when you are in distress or trouble. You can have it all: an attractive car, wealth, fame, friends and yet lose it overnight. You could even loose your career overnight especially in today's uncertain times. But, your family will always be there to give you hope, consolation, support and love you need to in order to get over your loss and start a new one. Family is all about acceptance, humor, and relief of stress. When you are sick and require long-term care, by the laws of nature your family members will usually comes to you first.

Our family is meeting our basic human needs for security, belonging, and love. You can not have a fulfilling and meaningful life unless you meet these basic needs first. In our family, we learn how to treat each other with respect and how to love each other unconditionally. We usually pick up on values early on from our parents. Each family has its own rules of conduct and what is acceptable and what not. We are taught in our family how to treat our neighbor, older people, and our significant other. Family is all about helping close family members who are in need.

The value of our family becomes most clear to us when we are separated thousand miles away distance from it or when we loose a dear family member. It is only then that we realize how much our family really means to us. You should not wait until it is too late and until you loose a dear family member to show love and kindness to your family members. I experienced it first hand what it means to be away from your family and all alone in a foreign country when I went away to do my studies. I discovered that distance makes the hearts grow even fonder. I exchanged letters, e-mails, and telephone calls with my family, but it was not sufficient to make up for everyday conversations and time spent with my family.
