With her heart beating frantically
she explodes down the street,
the click of high heels,
the sharp pain in her feet.
She has to get home,
for fear of being late,
the wrath of her father,
a temper so irate.
A car slows down,
he smiles a gentle grin,
not knowing his intentions,
she hesitates but gets in.
He looks like her grandfather,
his eyes calm and blue,
he seems so harmless,
but if that were only true.
The click of the locks,
as he secures her fate.
A moment of horror,
when she realizes it's too late.
She screams in terror,
and he smirks at her fear.
She is powerless it seems,
but then red lights in the mirror.
Confusion then anger,
as he realizes his mistake.
He pulls out his gun,
and decides his own fate.
A hysterical scream,
cuts through the night,
she screams hysterically
at the grizzly sight.
Gone is the monster who wanted her alone,
the devil that picked her up,
who she thought would bring her home.
Relief is short lived,
as she remembers her father,
who was still waiting,
for his overdue daugher.
What would be her punishment tonight?
A sharp kick to her chest,
or a blow that she can't fight?
She makes a decision,
and grabs the still smoking gun.
Knowing she'd rather be dead,
then see tomorrow's sun.

People complain to me it's hard to get
A ride when dirty or unfed

Far from home, not far from where I want to be
the sun is setting, I'm getting tired of the scenery
I just want to be picked

"Working Class Pedestrian"
For now, I'm a pedestrian
And dependent where I roam...
Oh, not to have a workplace
That's five miles
by JRR
The road stretches out before me
There seems to be no end
Slowly walking forward
Maybe it's just around the bend
I keep pushing
