The idea of a link between Obama and the end times is both fascinating and disturbing all at once. So far Obama can do no wrong and certainly does seem to be who Christianity tells us is the Antichrist. He talks about God but seems to be neutral and a centrist on the issue, he did state that one of the great things about America is that it is not a Christian nation. What is intriguing is that Obama was put in a position where he had to disown or disavow his Pastor. I am not sure how he did not know what Reverend Wright's position was on the issues, but to me that is neither here or there.
When Obama did that it did set a precedent and it was a break from tradition. Obama is taking some hard approaches towards rescuing this economy and it seems as though the government is going to take over banks, insurance companies, automotive makers, the list goes on. The idea behind a link between Obama and the end times stems from the notion that the only way out of the economic mess that we're in is to bring about the political and religious climate that is associated with the Antichrist to begin with. We do now know if the government is going to take over everything, and we have no reason to believe that capitalism is going to go away and that we enter into a period in time where a mark is used to provide access for everything.
In order for us to truly enter into those last days we would have to give up the capitalist system many of us have enjoyed, or suffered under. Doing so would be ironic because other countries are taking up this system and way of life. In the last times, according to Christianity people would be willing to give up their Judeo-Christian ways and take up a lifestyle that goes against the morals and ethics of Christianity.
Would Obama try to blend Christianity in with other religions to create the one world religion that is talked about in Revelation? Is the redefinition of institutions like marriage to include homosexuals and lesbians a sign of the end times? Right now we want peace, and it seems as though with Obama we may eventually see that happen in our lifetimes. Sure there is much that can be said about Obama's campaign and the fact that he said everything without saying nothing and the miraculous way that he came from nowhere to be the President but none of that really suggests that he is an Antichrist or explicitly tied into the last days.
The only thing that really bothers me about Obama are individuals blind faith in him. If you question anything he says or does or find any fault with it you are anti-American, just like if you could not find fault with anything that George Bush said or did you were anti-American as well. Everyone knows that Obama is learning on the job, but the fact of his having the smartest people in Washington working as part of this Administration precludes that it must be right if it is coming from him. In a lot of ways it is a cult like, type of worship that people are involved in, as they tend to do with every populist African-American that is on top, as is typically the case with Oprah Winfrey.
I didn't vote for Obama because I thought that he was perfect and can do no wrong. I voted for him because he came across as someone that honestly wanted to change the country and put us on the right track towards better times. It is too early to say how or if Obama is tied into the last days, and quite honestly, once you will be able to make such a call, it will be too late to do anything about it and it won't matter much who is tied into the end of Judeo-Christian Western Civilization as we know it ...

Wow, we do have some very superstitious people floating around here. Me personally, I think the end times would be likely
