My obsession with beauty products started when I was a child. I loved watching my mother get ready in the morning as she lined up her "potions, lotions and lipsticks" on the bathroom counter. She had the most beautiful skin and my favorite part was watching her apply lipstick. She did it with perfection.

There are so many products I love to use on a daily basis. If I had to reduce it to five of my favorites, they would be products that I have had an allegiance to for many years. These are beauty products that range from inexpensive to more costly. If something works for me, I am very loyal!

Although I have a great collection of lipstick, I am more apt to wear lipgloss on a daily basis. Somehow it seems to brighten up a tired face and it doesn't feel as formal. My absolute favorite lipgloss is Dior Addict Light Reflecting Lip Gloss. I have several colors but tend to go with the muted pink tones so it looks more natural. I am in my mid-forties and do not want to look like I am trying to be a teenager again! Dior Addict Light Relfecting Lip Gloss is not sticky and glides on so well. I like wearing a lipgloss that stays on yet I can't feel it on my lips. This is, by far, the best lipgloss I have ever used. Although it is more expensive than most, the quality is worth it!

Second on my list of my top five beauty products is Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond Moisturizer. I have been using this for over twenty years as my body moisturizer. Not only do I love the smell, it always works! I have very dry skin in the winter and this product never fails me! I can purchase a huge bottle of this (with a pump included!) for less than $6.00. A bargain and it works. What could be better?

Over the years, I have tried so many different mascaras but always returned to my inexpensive favorite: Maybelline Great Lash. I have been talked into trying more expensive mascaras by cosmetic sale people in the past but the less than $5.00 Maybelline Great Lash is always the best. It does not clump on my lashes, stays on all day and doesn't cost a fortune! It seems as if there is a new mascara on the market every week that claims to be the best. I'm convinced that it is not worth trying any other mascara again as long as Maybelline Great Lash stays on the market!

My grandmother introduced me to Pond's Cold Cream many years ago. Her skin, even when she turned 90, was gorgeous. She swore by this product and I have been using it for many years. It deep cleans but doesn't strip my often quirky skin of moisture. Every so often I will try something new, but I always go back to Pond's Cold Cream! It works!

My fifth favorite beauty product is the Estee Lauder Automatic Eye Pencil Duo. I have stockpiled this over the past few years because I am afraid they will change the product or stop making it! I use it on my eyes and my eyebrows (even though it is not sold as a brow pencil). It is soft and easy to apply but doesn't run or smudge. I love the sponge that is on one end that helps to blend the color. Most of all, I love that it comes with a refill right in the box!

As much as I love trying new beauty products, these are five that I am very loyal to. When you find something that works, keep using it!
