Wake up those taste buds, with this tasty pan-fried fresh salmon fillets recipe that will make your guests feel, they are at one of the best fine dining restaurant. This recipe is ideal as a quick dinner/lunch or for entertaining special guests.
Choose medium cut fillets, and not thick ones as they won't cook in the middle. You can buy a whole small salmon and ask your fishmonger to fillet it. Fresh Salmon tends to be very heavy in volume and palate so I suggest to not serve too much of it.
This reciepe is a high protein meal containing Omega 3. Any leftovers can be used for sandwiches.
Pan - fried fresh salmon fillets

Serves 2
You will need the following ingredients:-
2 fresh salmon fillets
1 small teaspoon of butter
1 small teaspoon olive oil
1 Lemon
2 tablespoons flour
Sprigs of Dill
salt & pepper
Mixed green salad
Cherry tomatoes
Carrots
Onions
Capers
Garlic cloves
Potatoes
Method-
Wash fillets under cold running water and tap dry. Rub them with salt and pepper. Lightly passed the fillets through some flour. Heat the butter and olive oil in a pan.
When the butter has melted and it is bubbling place salmon fillets skin side down and fry for 5 minutes and turn to the other side, and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove salmon from pan, and add half the juice of the lemon to the juices in the pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Place salmon in plate, pour reduced sauce over salmon, decorate with Dill sprigs and lemon wedges.
Prepare a salad consisting of different green lettuce, baby tomatoes, grated carrots, onion, capers. You can mix the salad in a bowl, with some light Balsamic vinegar.
Fry some garlic and add to the boiled potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste. A nice bottle of Chardonnay wine will go great with the recipe.
Enjoy!
