Be gentle as you handle me,
I am so sensitive you see.
I see, I feel, I react,
I live and thrive,
upon contact.
I fear and care, share and dream,
Proceed with caution,
Don't damage me.
I see beauty, you see strange.
If you're not careful I may change,
I see good in all of you,
Now just show me that it's true.
Please be gentle,
Or I may break,
Sometimes sentimental,
Only so much, I can take.
Today my spirit,
It shines, it smiles,
It flies high,
but oh, so fragile,
Do be careful,
don't make me cry.
I have faith, I have hope,
If you're not careful,
You'll take both.
