Where are the cheerleaders? Where is the music? Where are the free give-aways. Golf has to be the most boring, slow-moving sport to watch on television, ever. Even with Tiger Woods playing and throwing a temper tantrum, this still brings the level of excitement to a quiet-Ho-Hum!. Golf is dull, boring, and a major snore-a-thon.

The sport of golf is much more interesting when you play the game. A golfer has to set up his shot, and decide what golf club to use , and what swing to use to get the ball into that small hole. Then of course the golfer must choose his outfit, and walk from tee to tee. Golf is much more interesting to the player. But watching golf on television at home sets many people up for a two hour snooze.

Golf is BORING with a capital B. Baseball is also dull to watch at home. But baseball is the all American sport. That's what keeps me going back to the baseball park. Going to a baseball game is an American past time. "Take me out to the ballgame" The smell of popcorn, and hot dogs wafting throgh the air is a great thing. But let's face it without the promotions, giveaways, and the ballpark fan music-baseball is a boring sport to watch also.

Golf is a super boring sport to watch. There are no t-shirt give-aways. There aren't any cheerleaders, dancers, or loud music to get you up and dancing. There are no exciting hockey fights. There isn't any butt slapping, toe dancing celebrations after scoring a long drive. No, golf is all about quiet contemplation of the golfers who are thinking about their golfing strategies.

It certainly doesn't help that the two announcers whisper a viewer into snoozeville. Golf is a sport that you do something else to. My father-in-law catches up on his sleep. My mother-in-law catches up on her knitting. My father would turn golf on, and occasionally check in while mowing the lawn, and doing all of his weekend yard work.

Even though golf, is a quiet, thinking man's sport, golf needs a major overhaul to make it more interesting. How about giving golf some fan-friendly music, t-shirt give aways, and a ,"Whoomp, there it is!"

Golf is very boring. and ultra slow moving to watch, unless you love the game. There is some excitement when a golfer makes a hole in one, or gets the ball into the hole in just two strokes. But, golf is know more as a rich man's sport, and is really meant to be played wearing expensive clothing, while riding in a golf cart, while a caddy carries your golf clubs. For golf to be brought to a mass arena, and get more people interested, golf needs to become fan-friendly, not fan-boring.
