I flick out the sand between my toes
And stare at the falling sun
It kisses the sea
Like it were meant to be
Two lovers becoming one
I meditate on darker issues
But revel in the beauty of nature,
I down my beer
Night is near
My eyes take a visual picture.
Then I stare down at my watch and moan
"Goodbye to you beach"
I say,
As I go on...stumble on...and curse along
my merrily merrily way
