There really is no other natural way of getting rid of toxin except for hydration and increasing metabolism. Metabolism is the process, by which cells digest the nutrients and converts them to waste. Through increasing metabolism, our body is able to excrete more waste or toxins that is created as a by-products of cellular function, regeneration and death.
Organs that are involve in getting rid of toxin are:-
Colon & Kidney
Most waste material which are of no benefits to the cells are discarded through our primary organs; the colon and kidney. The colon generates faeces and the kidneys generate urine. The content of these waste materials are primarily by-products of cell regeneration and undigested materials that your body cannot absorb.
The Skin
The skin, contrary to popular belief is the largest organ of the human body and it excretes sweat as a form of thermoregulation ( regulating core body temperature). Regulating body temperature is important to ensure that all cellular functions work. Higher body temperature stops certain body function i.e. digestion and stimulating white blood cell to fight infection. When your skin sweats, droplets of fluid turn to vapor and therefore create a cooling effect on the skin. These droplets of fluid called sweat is composed mainly of water, sodium, chlorides, odorous chemical and urea.
Sweating & Detoxification
Sweating makes you feel good and it is proven to be addictive. After sweating, you will notice that you usually feel a lot lighter and more alert. This is due to the production of d endorphin that leads to the feeling of content. Detoxification by sweating can be achieved through exercise or sauna. The process of sweating requires a faster blood flow and hence promotes the process of nutrients and waste exchanges at every juncture in the human body. Exercising until sweating will mean that the blood circulation is able to carry-off waste materials at a higher rate and amount due to improved blood circulation.
Sweating & Health Benefits
Each bead of sweat brings intangible health benefits. Sweating through exercising provides a wide variety of positive changes in the body. The benefits are the improvement in the cardiovascular system, stimulation of the immune system, strengthening of the muscles and bones, stimulation of the nervous system that is essential for stress relief and sleep promotion. Production of endorphin has also been documented during exercise, this is the hormone that is responsible for the addictive effect of exercise and the feel good factor.
With all these health benefits in mind, we should consider hitting the gym or sauna more consistently. A simple exercise is insufficient to bring about sweat, a more intense workout or going to the sauna should be considered. However, do discuss with a gym instructor or medical practitioner should you have any underlying illness or disease. Some exercises and sauna therapy can be detrimental or even fatal in person with an exsiting medical condition.
