As a tax payer, I would like to know how much more of my money is planned to be used to pay for the people that decide not to take an active role as a hard working American. I get up a 4am every morning to go to my job, after a long eventful day I finally get back home and spend time with my kids around 6pm. The majority of Americans do exactly the same thing I do day after day, yet we get to pay for the people who decide not to get out of bed and unstead sit on their couch. A bonus for us hard working Americans is when payday comes we get to see that we had two hundred dollars taken out of our paychecks for health care. I pay four hundred dollars a month for health care that charges me a co-pay every time I use it, plus I get to stand in the long line with the people that get free state and government assistance. Congress needs to make the necessary changes to equalize the current system.

Every American needs access to health care, however changes need to be made to bring the current health care system more modern. As Americans we fight the idea a national health care system for fear that we will get bad care, long lines and horrible service the problem is that we are already getting all those and paying a lot to get it. When was the last time you went to a hospitals emergency department if it was recently then you would have noticed the five hour wait just to get five minutes with the doctor and the seventy five dollar co-payment.

A key to fixing the health care problem is the making health insurance more affordable to both companies and workers. Congress should ensure restrictions are put on the insurance companies that are taking advantage of companies and workers. Along with the insurances hospital need to be regulated to ensure they are given good care at a reasonable price.

Congress should not expand any existing health programs until they fix the current ones they have in place. The middle class will not be able to foot the bill in the long run, it's time to look at the current system and decide if you are willing to continue to paying the bill. Congress should focus on how to get health care insurnce to every American so when we stand in line together, we will know we will get the same care at the same price. Expanding a flawed health care system will make the problem worse not better, we should not support a system that does not support the hard workers of America, the middle class.
