Buy game tickets FIRST! Hotels.com is the best search engine for a hotel. Southwest Airlines flies to Arizona and Florida.

KNOW when your team is offering spring training tickets for sale. Be ready to be FIRST online to purchase the tickets! Most of the regulars will be playing the last week or so in spring training. If you want to see the superstars and your favorite players, these are the best dates to go. Your team's website will also allow you to purchase tickets for games played at other parks. All you need to do is click on the dates and you will be directed to the other teams site for tickets. ITS ALL ABOUT THE BASEBALL GAMES - SOOOO this is most important and should be done first. The earlier you buy the tickets, the better. You will also get the best available seats. If you like to live dangerously, you can wait and buy your tickets at the stadiums, but some clubs sell out fast. CUBS set a new spring training attendance record this year!

www.hotels.com Love that site! There is every kind of hotel to fit every kind of budget. Although it is great to be as near as possible to the parks you are going to for the games, don't discount some of the out of the way hotels. I once found a really adorable hotel at a fantastic price, about 35 minutes off the beaten path in Arizona. It used to be a facility for one of the baseball clubs and had a great pool shaped like a bat. It was also a nice safe haven from the crowds. You'll get plenty of crowd action at the games.

Book your flight. Many of you like to search the orbitz, expedia, priceline, which are great. Keep in mind that www.Southwest.com does not sell on any other site but their own. They almost always have reasonable prices, when purchased in advance. They fly to Arizona and also to Florida, so whichever spring training you are going to, southwest is able to get you there. It's always best to check those other sites, as well. Airline deals fluctuate often.

Almost there! You'll probably need a rental car. Lots of choices and opportunities for good deals. Again, check your orbitz, expedia, priceline for cars. Very easy to use and very competitive.

You are there! Have a great time, get lots of sun and fun! Go talk to your favorite players and get autographs! Don't forget to buy souvenirs! There are many you will never be able to find back at home. This is a great trip that will give you great memories. A must for every baseball fan!
