Learn to fight without getting physical. Learn to learn when to speak and be spoken to, and you will do well.
My co-workers thought myself and my friend who started the same day as I were stoned on drugs because we laughed and talked alot together but spoke very little during working hours. We worked for our pay, had fun at lunch and never thought twice about it.
My brother's friends thought I was an addict because she and I, a different friend were so boisterous, laughable and silly walking through the streets of Kew Gardens, Queens. We never drank anything but Pepsi, we smoked cigarettes and that was all. We knew how to have fun, on a zero budget; we dated eastern European men, had alot in common and toughly enjoyed each others company.
In high school I had a friend, a truly sweet girl, and she was sexually active, I was not. They called her "the gap" and threatened to speak the same of me. However, there were no men in my life, I was a V. and stayed that way.
I said, "she's my friend, and I don't care what people say about me for being her friend. Go ahead," I said, "but let's hear the names of those who speak this way, because I didn't even have a boyfriend."
A luvbug? Yes, I think so.
Don't you have any friends? My x said, "...yes, I said and I thought you were one of them, apparently you are not."
"I really wish you were a V" he said. I said, "I'm married and divorced you knew that." A luvbug? I think so.
I wa stold, "If you can't afford a dresser, don't get married"...I wanted a piece of home with me when I got married. I had a bedroom set, living room and kitchen.
Luvgbug? I think so.
All that furniture went bye bye when my brother left his apartment, no doubt. All that and I was wrong? People all around take part of their home with them when they start out, what was wrong with that?
I went bankrupt, ended up on welfare and couldn't do simple things in the interest of time, money and custom. I had no money. This teaches you about life, people and luv.
I had thirteen nervous breakdowns, I've had a fractured skull, Ive been mugged five times, I've had two miscarriages and ended up all alone, mostly due to my own fault, because I didn't ask for help very often, and when I did there was no helping me.
If I call you from the hospital, you should take the call.
You get what you deserve? Yes. A beautiful apartment, a job, a boyfriend, a real relationship with GOD, friends and much happiness.
A long road, a rough one, a good one and character building events.
I have no regrets,
