At first I believed that you were my true love,
sent down to me from above.
You came when I though I needed you most,
and about our love I would proudly boast.
Things started off so well,
and for you I quickly fell.
You made me forget all about my Ex,
and made my day with just a simple text.
As time passed I began to realize,
you were no longer the same girl in my eyes.
I find it rather shallow to say, but I still remember the day
that I realized I could never love you in the same way.
Your family was trashy as could be,
fowl mouthed, dirty, and offensive to me.
Looking back it had little to do with you,
but after meeting them I was through.
I tried and tried to make it work,
but in the back of my mind your family did lurk.
And like them you started to change,
and that's why things would never be the same.
Now that we are done,
I'm out having all the fun.
You write your poems all about me,
a Love that was never meant to be!
And even though you think I don't see,
just know i'm everywhere you hoped I'd never be.
A inconvenient reminder of what will NEVER be! :)
