Sometimes, out of the blue,
sadness comes to visit,
overcome with melancholy,
unable to dismiss it.
Walking around in sorrow,
downhearted and dejected,
for no apparent reason,
cannot get connected.
Despite feeble efforts
to shake this pensive mood,
anxiety increases,
despondency intrudes.
Smiling to the world,
I deny having such cares,
but, one kind word, or a gentle touch,
finds me dissolved in tears.

A soft caress,
No way to express.
A sun kissed breeze,
The rustling of leaves.
A light embrace,
A tender sensation,
Too delicate
She cowers in the corner
heart breaking
limbs shaking.
She's afraid to move
too afraid to run.
