I sat on the edge
The edge of the road
The line between insanity and sanity
The line separating me from the world
I sat in the dirt
On the dusty ground,
With the grime covering my clothes
The soot tarnishing my mind
I sat alone
With my thoughts disturbing me
Alone
Without the world
Protruding into me
I sat still
Silenced by the shock
Of the last fad
Society has unveiled
Never ceasing to amaze me
I sat wounded,
Hurt by the words unsaid
Scarred by the things of the past
Still glaringly vivid in my
Memory
I sat afraid
Terrified by what's coming next,
The invisible future I have yet to live
I sat staring
Into the eyes of your expectant followers
Into the eyes of their hope
Into the eyes of ignorant
I sat wondering
If I should believe,
If there is something more
If everything will turn out okay
I sat on the edge
The edge of the path
The line between the truth and the lies
On the line between you and me

A Moment's Contemplation
As I sit here
lost, cocooned in shadows,
facing the darkness
that seems to seep from every corner,
Hope,
I am not your emotional stuffed animal.
Stop crying on my shoulder and look in my eyes. I am looking for the truth and I
I take this thought into contemplation,
that our days has been a dream,
and in the vision we were one,
and none could come
