San Diego not only has near perfect weather, it has something to offer almost every walk of life. Whether you arrive there by land, air or sea, the sights and sounds will envelope you. It is one destination that will have you wanting to return to again and again. With the International airport located conveniently downtown, you can catch a shuttle to your hotel, rent cars right on the spot, taxis waiting curbside. While there is plenty to see downtown, you won't want to leave it at that!

The beaches stretch from Oceanside, in the northern part of the county, all the way down to the Mexican border. Carlsbad offers quaint little shops and restaurants. Del Mar has an active racetrack. La Jolla has the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and the La Jolla Festival of Arts. Torrey Pines is a state beach and park. There's Coronado, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Solana. If the beaches aren't enough, there is Mission Bay with resort hotels, an aquatic center, fishing, boat launches, home of the ESPN X-Games. Parks and beaches with jet-boats, jet skis, wave runners, wake boarders and water skiers. Picnics, birthday parties, family outings are perfect here. There is even a lifeguard on duty on the weekend during the off season and daily during the summer months. There are sight-seeing tours, hot air balloon rides, wine tasting, private yachts for charter.

Tide pools can be found at Cabrillo National Monument, Ocean Beach, Tourmaline Surfing Park, Shell Beach, Dike Rock, Flat Rock, Cardiff State Beach, Swami's and San Onofre State Beach. Camping is available at many beach locations. You may even want to try your hand at surfing, with some prime areas for this activity located along the beautiful coastline.

Numerous attractions will keep you busy. Sea World offers aquatic shows, interactive encounters, rides and great restaurants. Home of the famous Shamu and Shamu's Happy Harbor for the kids. Shipwreck Rapids is a roller coaster of sorts except it is all on water and just a warning; YOU WILL GET WET! A fun place for the whole family and a great place to visit on a hat summer day.

San Diego Zoological Society includes The Wild Animal Park, which offers shopping and dining as well as animal exhibits, a petting zoo and a train ride through a natural habitat with rhinos, elephants, giraffes and many other animals. The San Diego Zoo, which is also a part of the Zoological Society, offers shopping and dining. It is possible to walk the entire park
