Paganism is a very general term blanketing many non-Christian and non-organized beliefs. There are as many branches of paganism as there are cultures and languages in the world, and each pagan is responsible for her or his own view and beliefs. A pagan is not necessarily tied to one doctrine, although can be if she or he chooses.
Generally, pagans incorporate elements of earth religion, pre-Christian spirituality, and a direct connection with the divine in creativity and ritual. Some practice spells and/or call themselves witches; others do not. To many, creative and intimate acts are forms of prayer. To others, heritage and ancestry are necessary elements of spirituality.
The most colorful aspect of paganism is that it is so broad and inclusive. While most seek to harm none and many eschew evangelical practices, this does not apply to all pagans.
