Joy and Hope
Joy and Hope
are best friends
they promised to be together
until the very end
Joy and Hope
did everything together
Struggled through
good and bad times
covered for the other
even by telling lies
Joy and Hope
like two peas in a pod
Joy and Hope
promised to never depart
Joy and Hope
inseparable
conjoined
twins in the spirit
Friends
close
destined to be together
Joy and Hope

From conception through the day of our birth,
From birth throughout the rest
