In this fashion-forward society, it can be easy for individuals to fall behind and become yesterday's news. It is next to impossible for the average woman to keep up with all the style changes we see taking place in Hollywood, but there are a few little things we can do for ourselves to freshen, or reinvent, our look.
The most dramatic change a woman can make to her appearance, and yet one of the simplest, is a new hair style. Been sporting long, straight locks for the last few years? Switch it up! Adding some layers, curls, and maybe even a new color can work wonders and leave you feeling like a million bucks.
Make-up is another great way to change how you look. If you normally don't wear any at all, adding a bit of pale, irridescent eyeshadow and clear lip gloss will make a noticeable change. If your average make-up style is muted colors, try something brighter, perhaps plum-colored eye liner. You won't need to spend a lot of money to add just a few different colors to your current collection, and it will give you a whole new look.
Another easy change you can make is with accessories. Anything from a purse, or a belt, to a pair of earrings or a necklace can work, so long as it's different from what you normally wear. For example, trade out that heavy black purse for a cute little designer-knock off hand bag. Or maybe you've been wearing a pair of tiny silver hoop earrings forever and a day, so it's time to branch out and try a pair with a little sparkle and color.
The clothing you wear also makes a statement. If you are usually a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, throw everyone for a loop by wearing a skirt (even if it's just a denim one) or maybe even a dress. If you tend to dress in baggy, loose clothes, purchase a tailored suit or form-fitting jeans or slacks. Everyone will notice.
For women who are nervous about changing their looks, it doesn't always have to be dramatic. Even the subtlest of differences in your appearance can make a big impact. For instance, using self-tanning spray to give your complexion a bit of a golden glow, or using just the slightest bit of blush on your cheekbones for a healthy, rosy look.
These are just a few simple, budget-friendly ideas to get you started on creating your own personal new look. Try to relax and have fun experimenting, and enjoy all the compliments you'll be getting!
