During the hours of dark,
Angels descended to earth.
A boulder rolled aside
An earthen tomb revealed.
Mary wept at dawn, when
She was too late with oils.
His body was gone. A soul
Awaiting the ascension.
With tears of grief, Mary
Affirmed His precious gift.
Blood for atonement of sins,
Her Son gave for all men.

Poetry: Easter
When Christ climbed up on Golgotha
the rivers ran darkly with the blood of the butchered
and churned down their old paths
into
Pascha
Angelic voices
of servants so fine.
They gather to worship,
The Risen Divine.
A day of victory,
and redemption for
A wonderful saviour,
Who suffered, bled and died.
A man so great,
To give his life for yours
As well as for mine.
Hallelujah! The Easter Song
Shaking earth, rumbling, grumbling, quaking,
Proclaiming an event, hitherto unannounced to
Easter lilies perfume the air.
Pastel women with blue hair stroll slowly up the
aisle so all can see their new attire.
