entire film travelling with a stuffed bunny, a gift for his daughter, and many of his 'classic' lines are based around this. "Put the bunny back in the box... I said , put the bunny back in the box." Perhaps it's not as effective here as it is on screen with Cage's Southern drawl though! I also enjoyed the cheesiness of Cage's retort to Cusack's request to lower his gun. "Mr Larkin, I only trust two people. I am one of them and the other is not here." Needless to say, the list extends to three when he and Cusack have worked together to save the day.
*The crash landing on the Vegas Strip is particularly action-packed viewing and undoubtedly cost hndreds of thousands to create. Which words are best to describe this ultimate final scene, the sight of a gigantic aeroplane, wingless and showering sparks as it slides down the centre of the Strip at 50 miles per hour? Awesome, edge of the seat, wow! You cannot fail to appreciate the craziness of that final scene.
Expect a fast paced movie that will have its grip on you from the very beginning. Con Air is the first of many action films where Nicholas Cage excels as an 'action' actor and is on par with "Face/Off", "Next" and "The Rock". If you haven't seen Con Air yet, you need to see it. If you have, watch it again. It's just as good the second or eighth time!
