A Valentine’s Day romantic little cookie treat to share with your honey on this special day of love.

"Festive Fruited White Chip Blondie's"

The perfect colors for Valentine’s Day! (They will turn out "Red and White")

To get things started off promptly, pre-heat your oven to 325'F. Do this first, to allow time to heat while you are gathering the required ingredients.

This is a complete list of all the goodies you will need for this yummy dish that is sure to please.

 1 (stick) butter or margarine

2 cups (12 ounces) Hershey's white chips (hold one cup to the side)

2 eggs

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/4 cups all-purpose four

1/3 cup orange juice

3/4 cup cranberries, (chopped)

1/4 cup chopped dried apricots

½ cup coarsely chopped nuts

1/4 packed light brown sugar

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter; stir in 1 cup white chips.

In a different bowl, beat eggs until foamy.

Add sugar; beat until thick and pale yellow in color.

Add flour, orange juice and white chip mixture; beat just until combined.

Spread one-half of batter, about 1 1/4 cups, into prepared pan.

Bake 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned, then remove from oven.

Now stir cranberries, apricots and remaining white chips into one half of batter; spread over top of hot baked mixture.

Stir together nuts and brown sugar (Sprinkle over the top)

Return to oven to bake for 25 to 30 minutes, edges will start to turn a light brown.

Cool completely in pan, up off counter (set on trivet)

Cut into bars (any shape is fine) you can get creative here also if you want to add to the festive event ahead.

This makes about 16 bars.

You can also put a paper doily on a plate to serve and you’re ready to present a wonderful dessert.

This is just an added detail to show off your new festive treat. Around this time of year you can usually find these in heart shapes also, if so desired.

Have fun and enjoy!
