You've really, shut up shop.
I laughed when you declared your choice,
that you were shutting down your stall,
and I would get no fruit from you,
"that's it", you said, "kerput that's all".
So when I came by Monday last,
and you were not in view I thought,
that you were having time to think,
we all do that, when feeling fraught.
Today, again no sign of you,
I really do believe you meant,
that you have had enough of me,
and it was not a silly vent.
I hate this game of waiting 'round,
I've scuffed new shoes on empty ground.
