You look but don't see, you see but don't hear
You hear but you don't feel, you feel but you don't speak out
About my plight and the pain of my people
I am Mother Earth and I am starving for your attention
You may take this world for granted but don't I deserve a mention
From the beginning of time, man was put on this earth
He had resources in abundance when this planet was birthed
Mother Earth full and plenty with enough to go around
Animals a abundance and food grown from the ground
Fresh water, full oceans, forests, woods and trees
All these resources on loan to man for free
You have plundered, you have pillaged
You have reaped and not sown
When will you give back, what you do not own
You've
depleted the Ozone and created a domino effect
Global Warming the result of this cause and effect
You've
wiped out rainforests, destroyed species and raped oceans through overkill
For all these manmade atrocities just who foots the bill
My people are hungry, living in squalor and strife
Poverty cuts through this planet like a razor sharp knife
Just when will you wake up and smell your demise
Instead of wallowing in ignorance and narrow minded lies
Educate your generation about the harm that you've done
Promote conservation and preservation before this race is run
Build sustainable communities, instil resource efficiency
So that we can reduce carbon emissions and be green beneficiaries
I am Mother Earth starvingbecause of what's come to past
Hear my plea for attention, it will not be my last
For while you hear me pleading, make haste and take heed
Don't
let me die because of humanities ignorance and greed

"This May Not Be Anthologized, But..."
I guess these silly rhymes of mine
Are the art of my invention
Do I write them for posterity?
Nah,

Mommy
I used to beg you for a hug
but you didn't have the time,
You'd shoo at me to go away
like it was such a crime.
So I would
They notice me now
They see how thin I am.
My hair brittle.
My nails splitting.
Now they know I am alive.
They didn't used
by Jon Coe
This pit in my stomach, will not subside
hankering for something, to feed this pride
A plate of you, or a big bowl of my invention
by Olivia Kay
People pass by as if I'm invisible,
Not a kind word, not even a glance in my direction,
Racing by, too busy to notice, too
