I vote YES that federal political candidates should have to reveal the names of all their donors and not just those who give them more than $200. Here's why I believe that politicians have the right and the privilege to be a United States of America political leader and their leadership reflects the common beliefs of the American people.
Over the past six months or more, America has experienced a economic crisis that is representative of mishandling and misguided investment strategies in the housing and credit markets. Poor leadership and poor management is a reflection of politicians serving not the people of America but the corporations of America and mainly banking and investments.
Where is this going or what am I saying?
If our political system is driven by money and markets and not "by the people of the people and for the people" then there needs to be a change in direction on how these politicians are held accountable for their transperancy and accountability namely CREDIT or CREDITABILITY. Credit is the tool America uses to leverage the markets and leverage people's attitudes toward buying or not buying or voting and not voting.
Maybe expecting politicians to represent the VALUE of their decisions based on their DEFICIT spending philosophy would also stimulate them to remember who the people are that contribute to their campaign and ultimately help them financially to get the VOTE and get into office!
Without these campaign funds politicians are at the mercy of their own reputation or past experience to win the election and take a position in government. Government acts like a roller coaster of highs and lows and to leave these candidates riding on the highs of indiscriminate campaign funds then they will continue to ride on the highs and lows of Wall Street blunders.
I say let their free riding of the highs and lows of Wall Street and ponzi schemes come to an end. Let these politicans recognize who and what their leadership means to the American people and we the people are fed up with their shenanigans.
Maybe when these politicians recognize that Americans have paid for their campaign based on CREDIT and DEBT to support their election and these funds are given in good faith that their leadership and management skills will make a difference in the lives of ALL Americans and not just Corporate America.
My fellow Americans: let freedom and liberty ring but more importantly let's take action to keep our politicans accountable to "we the people" and the goals for a better America through responsible leadership and management in how America uses CREDIT and DEBT to finance these politicians' campaigns and finance social services.
