Applying for a position at Wal-mart is really simple when you go through their online application. Not only can you apply directly to Wal-mart, but you can apply for positions at Sam's Club as well.

The first step is to go to their hiring site, http://walmartstores.com/Careers/. From there you can read about their benefits and training information. Their benefits include medical coverage, bonus and performance awards, retirement savings, and a 10% off of their already low prices. They also have a wonderful Orientation Program which explains Walmart's values and expectations. They also have ongoing training which will help you to go as far as you want to with one of the world's largest retailers. A new program that they've created is called Leader's Out Front which provides you with Management Training. The first level of training is designed for Assistant Managers and New Managers. It is a multi-phased learning platform which prepares managers to make an immediate impact on their stores preformance as well as provides them with tools to become successful.

When you apply online, you will need to register as a new user and create a login. Make sure to write down your new login information so that you can go back in and update new information and apply for other positions. Once you've created it, you will be redirected to the login page to login and start the application process.

Once you have logged in, you will be asked your Social Security number and then you will need to create a secret code of 4 numbers. Pick something easy to remember. Once you've done this you will be asked the usual information, such as your ethnic background and sex. Once that has been completed, you will be able to apply for positions with Wal-mart, Sam's Club, or Wal-mart Logistics which is their Distribution and Transportation Facilities.

Once you have chosen which facilities you are interested in, you will be able to put your zip code in and apply for as many sites as you wish. You can then choose whether or not you are interested in hourly, management, or other positions of interest. You will then be guided through the rest of their application process, including your availability, work history, education,

Finally there will be a small questionnaire at the end of the application. When you are finished with the Assessment Questions, you will then be sent back to the original login page. At this point you can re-login and and change any information that you would like.

Wal-mart has many opportunities for you to advance your career to new levels. They have over 1.9 million associates and are going strong. With their wonderful benefits and training opportunities, you can't go wrong with choosing Wal-mart!
