Our hair is one of the most important features to enhance our looks. The way we care for our hair tells a lot about us, who we are and what we love. We need to know a lot about our hair, to find the right products to use and care for our hair to look healthy. Some of us have thin hair, thick hair, curly hair or straight hair. Hair is graded by the amount of curls. The more curly the hair, the higher it is graded. The thickness of the strand is further graded alphabetically.
Look for shampoos, conditioner, styling products with few chemicals; and gels with moisturizers containing fruits extracts and natural oils. If you are not sure, you can always get help from your cosmetic counter or drug store. If you find that a certain products is causing your hair to break and fall off, it is better to stop using it. Exposure to certain elements can also cause damage to your hair.
For some hair, it is better to use a wide tooth comb to avoid breakage.
Too much treatment on your hair is not good either. It can dry the hair. Hair dryers, curling iron and straighteners can damage and dry out delicate hair. Hot oil treatments are good for treating dryness in hair. You can purchase hot oil from the cosmetic department or try a home made remedy. Using a heat resistant bowl, add three tablespoon of olive oil, then warm oil by placing the bowl in a pot of boiling water. Once the oil is warm enough, massage your hair starting from the scalp, then rinse with luke warm water. This will help to revitalize the hair.
Having a balance diet of various food groups, along with fruits and vegetables on a daily basis will ensure good healthy hair. Drinking fruit juices and water everyday are essential to good nutrition for your hair. Foods that contain Vitamin B6 and proteins are baked potatoes, banana, salmon, spinach, brown rice, avocado and turkey are necessary for hair regrowth.
As time goes by, extra care of our hair is needed to last a long time. There are many factors that can contribute to losing your hair. It can be caused by stress, illness, strong chemicals in water, poor nutrition and some medication. Also factors like aging, genetics, hormones, exposure to certain elements and gender can cause hair loss. This can be treated with vitamins, proteins, oils, creams and a scalp massage. By using more Vitamin B6 and folic acid in your diet, your hair can grow back normal.
If you feel safer using home made products, it is far less expensive and safe. One of the most popular home made remedy to strengthen your hair is to mix some olive oil with an egg yolk and filtered water. Beat the egg into foam, add the oil and water, and then massage the scalp. Let it soak for about 20 minutes and then rinse. You can use then use a mild shampoo and some lemon juice or vinegar to wash off any remaining residue. This will stimulate hair growth and keep your hair healthy for a long time. Maintaining a balance diet with proper hair care can keep our hair healthy and add years to your looks and vitality.
