The Loneliness inside of me
I long for love and affection.
To be held in someone's arms.
To know that someone truly cares.
I'm starving for affection,
the affection I never got as a child
I want so much to reach out to someone,
and just once, have someone reach back.
Why can't anyone see, the loneliness inside of me.
Is everyone so calloused that
they are blinded to those around them?
Or do I just hide it well?
I need the nourishment that
love and affection provide,
because without it,
I can't survive.

Do I write them for posterity?

Mommy
I used to beg you for a hug
but you didn't have the time,

So I would

They see how thin I am.
My hair brittle.
My nails splitting.
Now they know I am alive.
They didn't used

This pit in my stomach, will not subside
hankering for something, to feed this pride
A plate of you, or a big bowl of my invention

People pass by as if I'm invisible,
Not a kind word, not even a glance in my direction,
Racing by, too busy to notice, too
