Optimism is much healthier for you, always having a positive approach to most concerns and situations will help reduce stress. The glass really is half full. So drink up and savor each drop. Sometimes hardships offer valuable life lessons and even truer, sometimes what you go through may help someone else. You may say, at times" Why me?" Why not you? Perhaps this ordeal will show you, what you are really made of. Maybe you didn't know you had that kind of stamina or intellect to navigate your way through any given situation or naybe you didn't know to depend on God.
Generally speaking, I believe most Christians have an optimistic view of life. Arriving at this conclusion, because I have witnessed myself and others never giving up and always believing the Lord will never fore sake them. Each day, provides another opportunity to lift yourself from the quagmire.
Adversity does build character and lends itself to the notion of your great navigation skills through a crisis. During this Global Economic Crisis, I find myself very grateful for the blessings I do have. I once enjoyed middle class status. I was once able to find a job if I desired to work. Today, my skills are no longer valid, so I must reinvent myself.
Looking for the positive is often times frustrating. Some one once said, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Every one needs some one to cheer them on during these difficult times. Perhaps, you can be a loved ones cheerleader".
A "peace of mind" is highly overrated. I much prefer my entire mind. so let's salvage the damage and refurbish ourselves. Most of our parts are still good. I had a stroke and I can still communicate, through speech , writing and gestures. Some days, I do quite well, other days need a little more effort. Each day I rise, I'm given the opportunity to try again. Keep in mind, some may not be even able to gather their thoughts. If you realize you are in chaos, finding your way out of it may be a great challenge. You are up for the challenge. Please don't convince yourself otherwise.
"Ignorance is bliss" and optimism have been categorized together. I don't advocate burying your head in the sand, but I do suggest you look forward and look up. Each day, think "Why not you and be bold enough to convince a potential employer the search has ended. The power of optimism may land you that job and you will have the satisfaction of knowing your best effort helped you land that job. Before you leave in the morning. "wink at that winner in the mirror. If you don't believe it, how do you expect anyone else to believe it. Your hardest job may be convincng yourself.
Optimism is a motivation tool. It's like a virus. It's catchy. My advice to all potential employers,"You need an optimist on your team. I once planned my commission checks for months to purchase Broadway tickets. Lets just say the seats were optimum and my optimism paid off.
