I have spent my life
with difficult people.
Happiness seemed foreign to them.
And their misery was spread
among us all.
How sad to spend your lifetime,
Being miserable and angry
at the world.
Drowning your sorrows
in a bottle or can.
Difficult people blame the rest of us
for their unhappiness.
They will not look into the mirror,
And they will not accept the truth.
That they, themselves, make their lives miserable.
Not their children or spouses,
Nor parents or co-workers,
Friends or strangers.
Life is too short and precious,
to let difficult people drag you down.
