brothers and sisters let me open your eyes
segregation is still alive and well here in the 21st century
though it is not forced upon one another by an oppressive authority
it flourishes under the guise of culture and tradition
it is pressed upon us by ourselves; internally
something inside tells us to not to seek comfort in the unknown
that inherent nature that told early bipedal man
to reproduce with their own kind
"they look like me"
it may be a little more complicated than that now
still racial segregation is apparent in our schools, neighborhoods, political parties, media outlets everywhere look
now close the eyes and open the mind
we are insignificant to this planet as we stand now
segregated
humans have been around awhile and are going to be here much longer
if we integrate
amalgamate and incorporate
accommodate and assimilate
we must concentrate on a coordination to concatenate
harmonize to orchestrate
organize to re-conciliate
desegregate your mind and the heart will follow
