At 0130 a call of shots heard, a terrible sound,
Fifteen minutes later Jimmy's bloody body was found.
Leaning against the driver's side door, cold and dead,
Shot at least three times in the side of the head.
His wallet, empty of money, was found by his side.
Jimmy was unemployed his wife Sandra cried,
Didn't have no more than five or six bucks in cash,
A few dollars in the ashtray, a spare change stash.
Sandra said Jimmy was quick to do a good deed,
Not able to pass by someone hitchhiking and in need.
Especially on a night filled with cold wind and rain.
Jimmy was sensitive to other people's pain.
The coroner expects today for the autopsy to be done,
Sheriff's deputies are investigating along Highway 21.
There are no witnesses, leads, or suspects at this time,
If you have any info please call the Crime Line.

And dependent where I roam...

That's five miles

The road stretches out before me
There seems to be no end
Slowly walking forward
Maybe it's just around the bend
I keep pushing
