There are many benefits of sweating. First you must understand the physical function of why we sweat. Sweating is another means of expelling toxins from your body. If you don't sweat this could be a sign of dehydration. If you are not sweating you are definitely not drinking enough water. If you drink plenty of water and still are not sweating, it might be a good idea to see a doctor. Sweating also acts as one of our bodies natural defense mechanisms. We usually sweat when we are scared, mad or nervous. Our body makes us sweat when these emotions are experience to help rid off whatever may be making us feel this way. I guess if we smell bad it would scare off our predators!

There are many ways to sweat. The best and most common is of course exercise! Get out and run! Even a brisk walk can cause you to sweat. As the sweat exits your pours it is pushing out all the toxins and bad stuff our body has absorbed. It also helps to flush out your fat cells which helps us loose weight. If you have ever had a night out on the town and have a couple drinks you might notice you sweat more the next day. This means your body is trying to expel all the alcohol from your system. Naturally it is not supposed to be there. Our sweat glands act as a filter. Releasing the bad stuff and storing the good.

Sweating is also beneficial to your skin. We sweat from our pores therefore pushing out dirt and oil that may be built up. After taking a steaming hot shower you should notice that you feel more clean than you would if you took a cold one. Thats because we sweat in the shower when the temperature is hotter and this cleans out your pores. Another good method of skin care is to boil some water, let it cool for a few seconds so you dont burn yourself, then place your face over the steam. This cleans out the pores on your face to help rid black heads and acne.

Over all sweating is actually one of the best things you can do for your body. You can also have fun in the process. So get out there and run, play a game of volleyball and be active. Your body and your skin will love you for it!
