Financial crisis: There's plenty of blame to go around

The economy is in deep trouble as we all know, but where does the blame lie? Is it the government that is to blame or perhaps it is big business? It seems everybody has his or her own opinion on who is to blame for this economy.

Many people say the government that is to blame for this economy. However, there is supposed to be a separation between government and big business. For too many years big businesses have contributed to campaign funds to get these politicians elected, so the line between government and big businesses failed long ago. Still I ask you, is it the government's blame for this economy?

Are the big businesses to blame for the economy? Is it their common practice of outsourcing to other countries that is to blame for the mess that we are currently in. We all know that outsourcing may look good on the surface but it has destroyed not only quality of products, but also the quality of life for Americans whose jobs have been replaced.

We all know that the quality of some things made in foreign countries is not up to standards, but if it is the only thing on the shelf, it is what we buy out of need. In other countries, the standards of production are not as stringent as they are here in America. It is we Americans suffer in the end with low quality products. Perhaps outsourcing is to blame because we all know inferior products need replacing sooner than they are supposed to.

There was a time in our not so distant history that items had a useful lifetime that extended more than a few years but with the popularity of outsourcing the quality of goods has gone down. Outsourcing our jobs to other countries, as we all know, meant so much more than that it was selling our general health and well-being.

It is time to stop this madness; actually, this time is very overdue to bring those jobs back home. Certainly, this is caused our economy major hardships, but is this the only location to place blame?

When CEOs are allowed to have multimillion-dollar bonuses, while the workers who actually do the production to make the least amount of money is this really fair. Sure, you have many headaches when you are the CEO of big business, but are these elite handfuls really entitled to have the bulk of the money that those businesses bring in?

The American public does not think so and apparently, the government does not either. It is about time the government is doing something about this, as it is long overdue. Some CEOs within America
make these bonuses but is it the only problem that caused the bad economy?

What of the American public is the place to lay blame? There are plenty in the public who overextended themselves with credit card debt, general overspending, and loans that they could not afford yet are we all to blame.

Many of the American public gets by with salaries of $10-$20 an hour, which is considered great pay in many small-town and cities across the nation. Yet some people feel it is okay to get paid $70 to $100 dollars and hour for doing a routine task.

Are they to blame for the economy's present status? I do not think so because the way housing is people need to afford the homes, housing costs through the roof in more or less dictates a bigger salary.

I think the blame of the sad state of economy actually lies in multiple areas. It is the government, it is big businesses, and it is segments of the public. Each takes a part of the blame in the state of the economy whether we would like to admit it or not.
