All crimes require a conspirier or many, its called mens rea and it shows intent, to commit an act which is called actus reas in Latin. In order for someone to be charged with a criminal offense the prosecutor must show that a crime was committed and that the accused party was intent on committing the crime. All unsolved crimes are theories. So, don't cringe or roll your eyes when you see or hear the term conspiracy theory. Somehow the media has managed to use this term in such away that when one hears it, they think "cuckoo". But, breaking it down its actual meaning does not indicate that someone is insane or paranoid because they happen to be labeled as a conspiracy theorist. I've heard many theories about what happened on September 11th, 2001.
There are those that believe the government did it, this is a theory because there has been no arrests or confessions to support this. There are those who believe that the FBI and CIA ignored the signs and allowed September 11th to happen. Once again, there are no suspects or witnesses to show this was the case either. Then there's the one that got the most media attention, the politically correct theory. This is the one which accuses a wealthy son of Saudi business family, dying of kidney disease; and requiring dialysis to stay alive; who gathtered up some of his friends who held the same religious and political beliefs that he had, and told them to move to the otherside of the globe and eventually get onboard four passenger jets, take them over, using box cutters, and flying the planes and its passengers, strategically into two high rise towers in New York, the Pentagon, and the White House in D.C. This son of a wealthy arab family, managed to make all this happen from a cave in Afghanistan.
To me, the last theory is the hardest to believe. It's so far been the only one that has not been supported by any kind of evidence at all. While at least the other conspiracy theories give scientific evidence that supports important aspects of those theories. There may be some, that disagree with me that the last one is a conspiracy theory. They believe its the official explanation. That would only be the truth, if the media were offially in charge of determining the cause of September 11th's attacks. Any judge will tell you, probably through a grin or an irritated expression, that the news media is not considered a reliable witness to crime, if the only part that the media took was writing about it. You'd be just as well off
