The Wings Over Miami Museum predominately displays a number of classic and contemporary military aircrafts. The museum also features a number of exhibition shows where real-life pilots take the aircraft into flight and showcase each vehicle's incredible power and unique abilities. In addition, the museum features a tribute to military veterans and other individuals who have made significant contributions to the aviation industry. The museum is only open from Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm; however, special arrangements can be made for private tours and special events. General admission tickets are $10, senior citizens' (age 60 and over) tickets are $7, and xhildren under the age of 12 are admitted for $6. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization that primarily aims to operate, exhibit, and preserve historic railroad equipment. With educational displays, train rides, and loads of events, this museum is loaded with opportunities to have a great time. This is a must-see in Miami and a unique museum that will undeniably leave you with a greater appreciation for engineers and railroads alike. The museum grounds are open on weekends from 11am to 4pm and on weekdays (with the exception of Monday) from 10am to 4pm. The model train building is also open from 11am to 4pm on weekends and while it opens at 11am on weekdays (again, with the exception of Monday), this building closes at 2pm on those days.
