Grandaddy,
You always gave me a shoulder to cry on.
A hand to hold, a heart full of love.
Life would have been unbearable,
if not for you.
You gave me the only love I knew.
And I am a better person because of you,
and the love you gave me.
Your comforting hug and welcoming smile,
were my lifeline.
I miss you so much, still.
So many years have passed.
Sometimes, I weep bitter tears,
and I would give my life,
to feel your loving embrace,
and have your shoulder to cry on.

A friend you can love and rely on,
When everything's
