There is only one word to describe the colors of 2009 and that word is "bright!" That's right folks. The teen fashion industry is moving towards bright colors. Now that "scene" seems to be the popular style among teens, designers are trying to incorporate more color into their lines to make their products stand out.

Neon pink, green, yellow, blue, orange, purple. They're all going strong this year. Layer a bright green tee shirt with a yellow hoodie and an orange bandanna. Match some hot pink Converse with a pair of bright blue skinny jeans. The best thing about decadent colors is that its hard to go wrong. Match this with that, or that with this. Neon's always look cute together!

If you're not in the mood for neon's, or you just plain don't like to wear them, you can try for something else. Remember that bright doesn't have to mean neon. Reds, yellows, oranges, purples, blues. They're all good too! Try a funky plaid flannel shirt, over a tank top with some complementing colors. Some muted tones can be fun to mix in too. Mustards and teals usually look great with reds, royal blues compliment yellows and bright purples very nicely, and brown tones compliment greens and light blues.

Coordinating colors is always important, so don't go too crazy with it, but at the same time, be sure to have some fun. You don't have to wear brights every day either. That may start to get boring after a while. If you're a more conservative person, maybe muted tones suit you best, but you should still spice things up every now and then with something a little wild! You are your own person, so bring that personality out with your clothes.

A Color that's always in is black. Grey scale tones go with just about everything, so you can wear neutral colors too! Try adding a splash of blue to that grey shirt, or put black jeans with a yellow top. The possibilities are endless! One of the greatest things about bright colors is that it's easy to mix and match with them! Bold patterns are good too. Something colorful with a fun black print. Speaking or patterns and prints, animal prints are coming back. Zebra, cheetah, tiger, and leopard. They are all over the place. But whether it's animal print, or a geometric design, it'll be sure to really add to your wardrobe.

So keep fun, bright colors in mind next time you're out shopping for something cute to wear, or just throwing an outfit together.
