Coolest things found at the fair, gadgets, carnival

Throughout the years I have attended many fairs and festivals. I have purchased many items throughout my attendance at these events.
I attended a Renaissance Fair in high school. I was always a girly-girl and the princess crowns with long flowing ribbon and scarves quickly caught my eye. I tried one on with a smile. My boyfriend's mother bought me one. That crown is still around my home somewhere. Unlike the cheaper ones I have seen recently, it was beaded with a pearl bead at the crown with a long flowing scarf and some shiny pink ribbon. It has been the accessory for many a costume. It has also kept many little girls happy playing dress up.

When I had first gotten married we attended a very small local fair. I had been intrigued to learn more about Pampered Chef and met a very nice consultant. Not only did this start my new love with Pampered Chef kitchen products, I became a consultant for a short period of time. These products are all still around in my kitchen today, though the experience and purchase was over ten years ago.
No fair has food like the Missouri State Fair. I have purchased many treats at fairs from kettle popcorn to funnel cakes. But nothing will stand out in my memory like the barbeque beef products found at the Missouri State Fair. Though a bit steep in price, the fresh flavor and taste inside the festive environment of the fair is an experience not to be missed!
It was attending another smaller festival that there were many hand held quilts on display that caught my eye. I had to own one because quilts can be hard to find if you are a fan of the antiquarian quilt. I want my quilt 100% hand made, with a nice soft texture that feels smooth. I don't hang or display my quilts. I use them. For years a quilt will last as your comforter and looks great when showing the room to guests.
My final fair purchase of memorable mention is my toe rings. I am a ring fanatic. I love toe rings and finding something that was soft and durable and didn't rub the area between your toes during wear was heaven sent. The rings were made with a flexible cording and very light beadwork. They were also inexpensive and easy to wear.
