Getting married and having a beautiful wedding is something all girls dream about, even if they won't admit it. On that much dreamed about day, everything just has to be perfect: the weather, the flowers, the groom. But most importantly of all, yes even more important than the groom, is the way the blushing bride looks on her wedding day. This is a day to be remembered forever. Pictures taken on this day will last a lifetime, so of course the bride should look the most beautiful she has ever looked.
The way a bride styles her hair on her wedding day is crucial to achieving the picture perfect day. There are many things to keep in mind when choosing a hairstyle for the big day. First and foremost it should compliment the dress. If the dress is simple and flowing, than a stiff, formal updo should be out of the question. If you chose a big princess-like dress, then your hair should compliment that with a sweeping updo.
Brides should shy away from styles that are too trendy. Keep in mind that what is fashionable today, might not be fashionable in ten years. (Remember shoulder pads?) The style should be classic and timeless. You don't want your kids to laugh at your wedding pictures and ask what you were thinking.
Even though the groom plays a small role in the chaos of creating the perfect wedding, he should be kept in mind when choosing a hairstyle. He is marrying you for you and your everyday beauty. You should not look like a beautiful stranger to him when you walk down that isle. If you have naturally curly hair and wear it that way everyday, then try to choose a style that accentuates that. Making it straight might look pretty, but it is not what he loves to see everyday. A wedding is the first day of the rest of your lives together, and he is going to want to see you as he sees you every other day, maybe only a little more refined.
The accessories a bride has chosen for her dress need to be incorporated in choosing a hairstyle as well. Don't pick out a hairstyle before you know if you want a veil, tiara, flowers, or jeweled clips. These things can make or break the overall look of the hairstyle itself.
When choosing a hairstyle for your wedding, keep all of these things in mind. If you are at a loss, just remember the most important thing: It is your day. It is your day to feel beautiful and be the center of attention. However, keep in mind the second most important thing, which is that memories created on this day will last a lifetime. You will want people to remember how beautiful you looked on your wedding day, and choosing the right hairstyle is a key factor in this.
